I tried "The Google" again (smile) and it did come up after a few pages (https://www.google.com/search?client=safari&rls=en&q=barnard+elementary+school+washington,+dc&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8#q=barnard+elementary+school+washington,+dc&start=0). I really didn't think it existed, but I didn't keep clicking and clicking, next page, and next page. If I had, maybe I would have noticed it. The other school's pages just popped up. In any case, it's no matter. There is a perfectly fine, functioning website and now it's on this thread for everyone else who is curious to find and see. That said, my mistake unearthed a sad and ugly side of the "I love Barnard" community. I can only imagine what the other prospective parents who are sure to come across this DCUrbanMom thread will think, as the thread was easier to find than the website. #shame

That said, I still think it's poor that they don't have a dedicated Barnard School website, and we may or may not show up for an open house because of it. For real. I think we are pretty normal and nice go with the flow people but I am not going to put my baby in a school that needs but so much help. We're looking for decent AND smart, with it educators. He already has a Nana, a Grandma and a big family who are nice to him. We can get nice, warm and fuzzy at home. A school in 2016 without an online presence is lame and there's no wishful thinking that away. That said, it's a lottery, we're not rich, and our neighborhood in-boundary school is a non-starter...

FYI. Barnard isn't the safety it once was. IB kids were on the wailist this year.
And that's just the kind of information they could post on their website...like Janney! http://www.janneyschool.org/about/how-to-enroll/
a school I just crossed off my DC lottery list now that I know I wouldn't have a chance in hell of getting in as an out-of-boundary family.
Janney doesn't even offer PK3 at all. Spend some time on Myschooldc.org You have a lot to learn
