My DH will cook but I'm much better at it then he is (he has a blander palate and so doesn't use much seasoning. Also lacks patience). I love to cook and am a great cook, so I do most of the cooking. He however is in charge of lunch prep on weekdays- he packs leftovers or salads for us both which I LOVE!

My ex-husband never learned how before we married, resented my attempts to teach him, and if I dared to not leave a meal that needed to be microwaved, he either fed the kiddo fast food or slapped together something essentially intentionally inedible. He was a master at being passive aggressive.

My fiance is a better cook that I am and enjoys cooking by himself, with me, or with my children. My only complaint is that he tends to overcook so we either have lots of leftovers or feed the neighbors. He was really meant to be the father of 12.

My husband doesn't like to cook but he does all the dishes. If push came to shove he'd cook.

Yes. I hate cooking. He loves it.

Mine cooks most of the time and does the dishes too! He's a total slob when it comes to the rest of the house though, so there's a trade-off.

Nope. He may assist or reheat but not his thing. Knew this from the get go, I cook, usually like it. When I don't we go out. He dies lots of others things I don't. Not a problem in my house! And, he always appreciates my effort.

DH here, yes I do all the cooking. Now DW on the other hand, it's not her thing. We figured this out very early on and it works fine.

DW is a great baker and I find baking dull, we split that.

My husband can cook but I don't like his cooking much, and he prefers my cooking as well (and I enjoy it), so I do most of the cooking. There are a couple dishes he makes that I do like so he makes them occasionally, like once every couple of months.

Yes, my DH cooks, but mostly weekendnights when he is home. I'm home for the weekdays, so that is when I cook. I'd say I do about 3/4 of the cooking. Its a shame, because he cares much more about food than I do. I like to eat, but cooking is just making sure the troops are fed.

He's a good cook and he cooks all the time. However, he leaves a huge mess and doesn't clean up. If I ask him to clean up, he will do such a half-assed job that it's not worth the nagging to get him to clean.

Mine does. Not as often as I do and his meals aren't as involved as mine (like another PP I love to cook and find it relaxing), but what he makes is very good. He is way better at pancakes and baking than I am.

Whoever cooks does not do dishes, unless DH is working late and I've cooked. Then I do the dishes because it doesn't seem fair for him to log off at 11 pm and have to clean the kitchen. I'm also faster at cleaning than he is, so I can spend 20 minutes at 8 pm vs. him spending an hour at 11.

I do the meal planning and grocery shopping.

Mine does! And if I cook the meal for the night, he does the dishes and prepares our lunches for the next day.

No. The main reason is because I enjoy it and it's a stress reliever for me. He has cooked in the past a few times, it was edible but the mess was unbearable. He does all the clean-up after we are finished eating.
