We bought squares of clear hard plastic at lowes ( similar to what you would put under a desk for rolling chairs but not the odd shape) that are about twice the size of the litter box. If there are "accidents" it goes not he plastic and not the floor. We have also found one cat prefers the bath mat. I bought a couple of extras, and swap them out as they need washing. -- Although, I found being extremely diligent about scooping the litter and regularly hosing out the boxes is the most effective deterrent. Don't using anything with scent (lysol, bleach, etc.) to wash the litter box as it might deter the cat from using the box. Good luck and pls don't give up on your kitty. He/she is trying to tell you something in the only way it can.Anonymous wrote:Thanks, everyone!
We will definitely use puppy pads and towels and a bigger box. He was at the vet recently so I don't think he's sick, I think this is behavioral.
This cat has no desire to go outside.
