Well, I don't like stuffing or sweet potatoes, so really look forward to white mashed potatoes and only eat that as my one starch.

I am a minimalist. I use less than half my closet and two drawers of my dresser have bedding in them. We do not have any clutter in our home. Food is not the place to be minimalist, especially when hosting for guests. Do people normally eat your mashed potatoes and green beans? If yes, then I think you should serve them. Also, you didn't mention desserts.

The lack of dessert might cause me to revolt, but not the lack of mashed potatoes, and I'm someone who hates sweet potatoes, but I'd just eat two helpings of stuffing!
