And since Honduran police just arrested 5 Syrians who produced fake passports yesterday - all heading to US by means of saying they are a Honduran refugees, there needs to be concern. I just hope they aren't missing anyone and no one has or is going to slip thru the cracks.

What is "a high school very close to Gaithersburg"? Also, are your children in a gang?

She means Wootton and they are not in a gang but they buy weed from people in a gang.

If my kids were at Wootton, I would be more worried about which of their classmates they get in a car with.

If your kids were at Wootton then you would be correct, mainly because these immigrant kids are not going to attend Wootton.

How about while we sit comfortable in our sheltered liberal enclave we think a little bit about the decent families and kids in the lower SEC that have to deal with thugs like this? This type of crime is always more focussed in their own immigrant communities, it will probably never effect us in the higher SEC but it doesn't mean we should act like everything is fine.

It's very easy to be sheltered and sit in denial. Not so easy for the victims, or the hard working immigrants that are trying to raise decent next generation Americans.

Also, yes, in general, schools are safe. However, some schools, at some points in time, are not safe -- for example, the ones where there is a school shooting, when there is a school shooting. Yes, school shootings are rare. But they are not non-existent.

How did your 3rd generation American become 3rd generation? Oh that's right, they or their ancestors immigrated here, legally or otherwise. Your solution is to not allow in any foreigners? I went to a gang infested HS. They were mostly 3rd generation+.
