I worked at a Little Caesars as a teen and we did genuinely make the pizza dough from giant sacks of flour, yeast, and a seasoning blend. That would be the first task of the morning. The sauce was made from tomato paste, water, spice packets and oil that we mixed in giant vats. We would also cut some of the veggies ourselves.

I've heard other pizza chains just have frozen dough and I'm not sure if Little Caesars still makes dough in store.

I worked at Pret ten years ago. The food was made from scratch. I cannot vouch for today though because places have quality which has gone down.

I do fondly remember being able to take home salads and sandwiches at the end of each night. Kept me so skinny!

The next morning, that leftover beef would be used to make the chili. If we didn't have enough beef from the day before, we'd have to cook beef that morning.

Most of the locations (that are left - pandemic did a number on these) are small locations in hospitals/airports/colleges that would have no room to make anything on site.
