Depends on your definition of "paying." In a typical year 15-20% of kids are from outside of DC who have signed up to pay tuition. How many of them actually pay is unclear, DCPS overall does a very poor job of collecting tuition.
In a recent audit, the number of "paying" students at Ellington was greater than the number of "paying" students in the entire DCPS system who had actually paid.
