I think it's funny. I would be a bit peeved but would get over it fast and laugh with him at myself.

+1. It's actually hilarious but if I'm being honest with myself I know I would be annoyed, but get over it and def get even.

OP, could you do the joke back to him?

People are different. OP says she was stressed by it - she specifically mentioned she's a stressed traveler generally. For all we know, OP has a great sense of humor in other contexts. So DH should learn to lay off on the airport thing. It's OP's job to find a way to tell DH this, in a respectful way.

I think it's funny. But it probably should't have gone on for more than one exchange.

Yeah, once it's funny. After that, not so much.

+1. However, my husband knows I'm a bad/stressed traveler so perhaps that's why I'd be extra sensitive to him continuing on a joke like this. Especially by the end of a trip, I'm usually very wiped out. After more than maybe 2 minutes of it, I would have stopped texting him and gotten right in a cab, expenses be damned.

Funny after the first exchange but not the second. I could also see my DH doing it for more than one exchange. Sometimes he just doesn't know when to stop - not antagonistic.

Tit for tat. You need to play the game. Look up pranks. A good one is the fake pregnancy test. Good luck.

Come to think of it, I need to use that on her the next time I pick her up from the airport.

+1 I laughed reading this, but DH and I have that kind of humor .

OP, have you ever let your husband know you don't find his jokes funny or do you just laugh along?

I constantly make these kinds of jokes to my husband, so I find this funny and not at all antagonistic. It's hard for me to understand how someone could actually be bothered by this.

Funny, but then I would have tracked his phone to know that he was joking. Did he think you would have done that and known he was joking?

Glad you got home safely.

It's funny. Relax. It wouldn't have been funny if he'd actually gone to the wrong airport. But he didn't.

Because he had dropped me off at DCA last week, and it's unusual for me to use different airports like that, I texted him yesterday afternoon reminding him that I was flying into IAD. He replied that he'd be there.

So my flight landed at 9 pm. And almost immediately I got a text saying "I'm in the cell phone lot. I had a lot of trouble getting through Crystal city." So I'm thinking "What? Why would he need to go through crystal city to get to Dulles?" And I realized that if he went through Crystal city, he must have gone to Reagan!!!! I kind of panic and text him "You know I just landed at Dulles, right?" and he replies "Seriously? You are at Dulles?"

And the exchange went on a couple minutes before he texts me that he was just joking and he really is at Dulles.

So my question is--is that a funny joke? Or is it a dick move to make me stress out and panic the minute I land after a flight? I was really pissed, and he thinks I'm over reacting about a joke.

He does this kind of thing frequently--intentionally tries to cause stress or "push buttons."

Why would this make you stress and panic? The realistic worst-case scenario is that you either take a cab and meet him at home, or hang out at the airport for an hour and catch up on email while he drives from DCA to IAD. Sure, I'd be irritated if my husband had gone to the wrong airport to pick me up, but it's not like it would mean I was trapped at the airport for the night. Clearly your senses of humor aren't aligned, but I think the bigger issue is your anxiety level.

It depends on your personality type. I have no sense of humor, don't get sarcasm and would not think it was funny. I know many people, though, who would.

My husband would do that as a joke and I wouldn't mind at all. I'd tell him I'm already I a cab when he told me it was a joke to make him panic for a minute.

I think it's hysterical.

My husband did that to me, except he was picking me up in China when we had to take separate flights. It's funny, because as AN ADULT you could have taken a cab.

Are you an adult? Or a child bride who can't figure out how to get home by yourself if your husband went to the wrong airport?

Grow up sweetie.
