Wow removing a principal with such a good track record? How is the replacement doing? Hate to see a jewel like RGFI become mediocre

I think it's more of an effort to protect self, regardless of the race of the accusers. Think about the wording of the finding and what it takes to prove abuse. Any bruises or marks? Any adult witnesses (who will talk)? That finding was easy to make, and the teacher is gone. Yet the principal is gone too. Go figure.

Based on what I could gather, the principal did not go through the proper protocol to handle the allegations.

Can you link the article? It's confusing - if there was "no evidence," then why is the principal out? I also wonder what the standard of proof is here. If there is "no proof" other than the word of 6 year-olds, then I understand not making a decision on solely that information. On the other hand, it still leaves the question of what happened to Mr. Abi.

School system had a meeting with parents just before Christmas to advise that Mr. Abi was fired. Some news reports have since indicated that he is appealing his termination. They are bringing in the retired principal from John Hansen FI to act as assistant principal for the rest of the school year, and will be starting a search for a new principal in the new year.

Not comfortable naming the teacher.
