My pants got tight pretty early too, so instead of buying maternity clothes so early, i just bought a couple of pants that were 1-2 sizes bigger and got me through the next couple of months. It was great because after i delivered they fit as well until i lost the baby weight and I didn't have to keep wearing maternity clothes.

I lost more than 10lbs in my first tri and my pants did not fit comfortably at 7 weeks. I was already wearing the elastic waist options.

Just buy some maternity pants! It's quite possibly bloat, but it's also not going anywhere. The solution is not to eat healthier it's to buy some new pants.

Welcome to pregnancy! And congrats.

I'm 8 weeks and I have the same problem. I'm also not allowed to do much more than walk due to risk factors. I bought a new belly band plus belly belts from amazon. They have 4 different sizes per package. I'm able to wear my normal pants with the extender plus the band and am comfortable.

I'm using the BellaBand Every Day ... the knock offs do not work the same. It has a band that anchors the bottom edge to your pants so it will hold things in place with the pants button and zipper undone.
