Is this concern based on anything you have observed in your BF? Because this isn't giving him much credit. I would be very offended if my partner thought I might be capable of this. Geez.

Whoa, if you really think he's this type, it won't matter whether or not you two have a kid together. Don't focus on whether he has a hidden desire for more children. Focus on whether he is a trustworthy guy in search of a life partner.

or maybe just wants a younger sexier woman who has more respect for him than you do

Does he mention time and time again that he would like a sibling for his son?? Do you see him wanting more kids a huge deal in his eyes?

If so, then I agree. He should move on NOW since the longer he stays around, the more invested you will become to him. And the deeper the hurt will ensue later on.

Have a heart to heart with him and talk this out in depth.

Do you see any other inklings that he may be immature or have issues with self-esteem? Because that's what the highlighted screams to me. If he's a normal, healthy guy, try not to worry about this scenario too much.
