I try to think of marriage as a cycle of ebbs and flows. It's worked for 27 years. Therapy helps me and things change with different ages of our kids. I get outside every day for a long walk, and make time for what's important to me.

When thing with DH were really tough I slept in the other room and honestly avoided him as much as possible. Gradually things got better (not much therapy though). I just had to focus on myself and DS first and DH and the marriage second.

My solution was going back to school and doing a career change, as this gave me something to focus on for myself and widened my circle of people I was coming into contact with. Things gradually improved as the kids got older. We just celebrated 25 years of marriage together, and I don't think about divorce anymore.
