Nah - that was when the show was just getting its footing - With a year under its belt its getting so much better and really hitting its stride.

The entire episode about gun control was the best discussion about the various viewpoints without getting vitriolic and one-sided that I've seen. Same for the n-word. So nuanced for a 1/2 hour comedy.

I should also add that one of my favorite episodes was the vasectomy one.
+1 I also loved the head nod, when white guy dumped daughter and they thought it was because she was black but it turned out it was because she was stuck up, and the one where Bo's neighbor thought she was broke. I watch it with my 8 year old and DH. While its not exactly PG it makes the entire family crack up. He really likes the scenes with the kids. It is such a brilliant show.

DVR. DVR. DVR.
I watch Blackish with my 10 year old. He loves it. I watch Empire at a later time, alone.
sigh I tried, I got so behind on Empire I just gave it up![]()
No DVR? You may be able to watch on abc.com
Nah I have a DVR. I chose to watch blackish and tape Empire (which I am really behind on) because it's easier to watch blackish while multitasking. Now that I think of it, Law & Order SVU comes on at the same time too. The few shows I seem to enjoy all air on Wednesdays
