I'm glad you're not afraid of color.
I've known people who've done color schemes in pastel, colonial colors, and even hot pinks and limes. Different style and sizes of houses, and they all worked.

Subject: Kitchen wall color help?
Red and white in a kitchen makes me think retro. If you are the adventurous type I would go for that 50s vibe and paint the walls aqua.
