I actually feel sort of bad for the old guy (Mark?) I think he's had a tough life and obviously has a lot of issues associated with his first wife. Yes, the way he talks to Nikki is really patronizing and dad-like, but I think his heart is in the right place. He's just kind of messed up.

OK, anyone watch episode 3? It bugs me that they misstate the law. They act like the 90-day period is this time period during which you are thinking about whether to marry this person, when in fact the US citizen petitioner must attest under penalty of perjury that they intend to marry this person. Obviously, you can't compel someone to marry you, and people change their minds, but the visa is intended for people who are actually engaged. Second, they repeatedly state that the foreign national finance/finacee is not allowed to work during the 90 day period. They are in fact eligible to apply for work authorization during the 90 day period. Yes, I realize that tv producers take creative license in "reality" shows.

I love this show.

The guy from Israel seems to be a recent transplant from Russia or Ukraine.

i can't figure out the old guy. sometimes he seems nice and normal, but the way he talked to the fiancee and his daughter ("you girls just hang out") like they were on a playdate? so ick.

russian & mormon - seems weird to me that she'd switch her lifestyle that dramatically, but he IS cute and sweet. and probably gay.

jamaican - can't quite figure that one out, either. he doesn't seem as opportunistic as he did in the first episode, but they still don't make sense to me.

the jappy ny girl and the israeli soldier - something tells me this won't work well.

Yes, I think he is gay. And she may be playing sweet and innocent, but I think she is conniving. When she talked about her "Mormon dresses" it was like she was acknowledging that they were costumes for a role she is playing.

They have done a couple reunion specials, one of which aired right before Season 3 started. Maybe you can find them on demand.
