Yes because

- lots of lint
- Sitting on a store shelf for "who knows how long" and collecting dust and other yuck
- Having other people with most likely unwashed hands touching them

Ungrateful because I was annoyed I was covered in red lint? I didn't march down to breakfast and throw the towel in their face and demand an apology. I silently sighed to myself about how that's annoying, then I got dressed and went about my visit.

Burgundy or any colored washcloths bleed onto other items in the wash. I only buy white ones.

+1, and equally awful is the fact that new towels aren't very absorbent. They need to be washed sometimes multiple times to become absorbent (washing off the chemical softeners). New towels make me feel like I can never get dry enough.
