Is there ever a reason I should give this up? My monthly bill may be a bit lower - I currently pay about $95/month (unlimited text, no idea about minutes because I have about a million rollover minutes). But the comfort of unlimited data is nice, even though I may use/pay less. And once I give it up, it's gone forever.

It is usually less becuase Republic pays you back for the data you don't use. Doesn't work if you need tons of data, but its been perfect for checking email, occasional GPS use, and Google searches and browsing. Unlimited minutes and text.

It was changed recently from my old plan which was $35 for unlimited data/text and 300 minutes talk.

PP here. Don't give up unlimited data. EVER. Data usage will always keep growing over time. There is a reason they are charging more for data than the phone minutes now.
