Subject: Vent: DH is ruining my quiet time
Have you discussed w/him how he is infringing on your "me" time? If not, in his defense he most likely has no idea so you need to let him know.
Is there only one T.V. in the house & that T.V. is located in your bedroom?? Now if that is the case, I can see how problematic that would be. Perhaps he can get his own T.V. and watch it in the living room so that you can have peace.
And he can save his commentaries for the morning after.

Op, it's a horrible habit to go to bed separately every night. And to plan on it! Shame on you. You two need time in bed together before sleeping, being close, relaxing. no serious discussions, no making plans. This should be a priority. It you don't have enough "you' time, which I understand, you will need make other changes. Don't jeopardize your marriage.

I responded with a "why doesn't he just tell his wife then" to which he gave me the look that implies obviously men don't talk about their feelings.
So take that for what it's worth. No idea if he's right of course, but it at least sounds plausible.
Yep. If y'all were 8 he'd be pulling your pigtails to get you to pay attention to him. No we don't necessarily grow out of that

I have my own room way across the other side of the house, tv in every room. My husband and I have a glorious marriage.
