One brand I'd recommend is Rowe furniture. They sell them at Belfort as well as a furniture store in Alexandria right next to where the Marlo's is. I forget the name of the store. They offer many different sizes and you can select the fabric. We've purchased a couple and are very happy with them. They're reasonably priced and pretty good quality. They have a few styles with modern designs that aren't too bulky.

whoops = here's the link

I searched high and low for something like this recently (including the Macy's site) but didn't find this one. Went with one from Overstocks. Very similar style and about 50% more expensive.

I really like these but their pricey. Do they ever have sales?

I think their big sale is on Black Friday. But you are very limited on fabric selection. They do have smaller sales throughout the year. Recently (right now?), you can save 25% off of covers. When we bought earlier this year, we bought 4 bases and 4 sides and got a side free.

So while they are expensive, we are really happy with the purchase. We knew we'd have this couch for a really long time. And we like the fact we can take the covers off and wash them. Or replace pieces if they wear out, instead of the whole couch.

Just one caveat, you do have to break the couch in. I read a few reviews, some saying great wonderful comfortable couch, others saying super uncomfortable. I found that right out of the box, it was super uncomfortable. Took about 10 day - 2 weeks for the cushions to soften. You might be able to speed that up by jumping on the cushions to soften them. Now the sactional is super comfortable and it gets slept on regularly

Agree with this. We got a small sectional in our long and narrow living room at Belfort. I did the painters tape and decided on the max size, then we went there and looked through the manufacturers' specs to get a list of models that would fit, and picked the one we liked best. It's 93" long I think.

Also, when you look at sofa styles, the ones with straight backs and arms and will probably be truer to the measurements whereas others that have tapered backs or arms, may need a slightly bigger footprint:

You can go with whatever style you like just make sure you take into account its true size.
