About three years before he turned into an asshole. Ugh. It's been a rough night with the teenager.

DS1 is in 4th grade, not stinky yet (at least that I've noticed). DS2 has been stinky since he was 3. He sweats like crazy, no matter the weather or clothing, and smells like a stinky butt by the end of the day. He bathes daily; DS1 can go 2-3 days without a shower. I am not looking forward to DS2's tween years.

Tween boys can be obsessed with Axe (not all scents are equally obnoxious). Mine needed Axe shampoo, Axe body wash, etc. I was just happy that he wanted soap and shampoo. He got over it and switched to Old Spice in middle school.

Have you ever smelled it PP? A little bit goes a loooong way and boys tend to wear too much of it.

my toddler's feet stink! I think it is a family trait for the males of our particular line, my brother's shoes were always rank too.

My almost 10 year old DS totally stinks. He showers every night, wears deodorant, but still is just a sweaty, hot kid who smells bad by the time he gets home from school. And his feet are horrible too. I didn't grow up with boys in the house and I have super sensitive nose so I have been pushing the deodorant, foot spray, etc. And I always tell DS "Showering and making sure you aren't the smelly kid in your class is easy- don;t give kids something easy to tease you about". I still remember the kids in my class who smelled bad.

Axe is big among my son and his friends. Hoping to turn him away from it. Right now just happy he is using something.

Starts in 4th grade, teachers make formal announcement in 5th.
DS started having odor the summer before 5th grade - the Keen sandal scenario. However, now that it's cooler and he wears socks and shoes, there's no discernible smell. He's Asian and not the type to stink to high heaven.

DD at age 6; DS at age 9 or 10. Other DS, still no stink at age 12!

My 17 year old DS still doesn't stink much, but 12-year-old DS has started to after hard exercise.
