We chose Isla over Ayla, mainly due to our shared Scottish heritage. No regrets here - I think both ways are beautiful. Mind you, both names are easily mispronounced but a correction here and there won't hurt anyone!
I have , but A. OP didn't say she lives in the UK, and B. It still sounds ugly.
