Thank you!

Medium size. I personally think they should have just gone to the court, as my family needs to fly out for this thing. But that's what they want. I don't know what to do...

+1,2,3.... the whole thing is a pointless exercise. Just look at the statistics. Go just to enjoy the party or don't go, the odds of a 10th anniversary are virtually null.

Obviously love wasn't enough for the first three marriages. I'm Team Sister.

OP here. She pretty much punishes her brother more then new SIL. We don't know what happened to her previous marriages but we do know what happened to brother's. I am not madly in love with his choice but it's his choice and we as a family should stand there for him, don't you think?
I don't know anymore.

Ideally she would support your brother but maybe she's just done with the treatment of marriage like it's a novelty. As in, if you two are still together in three years and/or have kids then my family and I will be more accepting.

She's being judgmental, but I don't blame her with what little info. I'm reading here.

They will not have children. And they have been together already 2.5 years.

Luke 6:37
"Do not judge, and you will not be judged. Do not condemn, and you will not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven.

Johnny Cash's second and June Carter Cash's third marriage worked out for them- 35 years until separated by death. I agree the odds aren't in their favor but it's not impossible.
