Subject: Epi-pen at school question
OP, mom of two Epi-Pen prescribed FCPS students here. I typically hand-deliver the forms and Epi-Pens directly to the health room on the first day of school.
In fact, I am waiting (impatiently) for one form to be signed by the pediatrician, so I may NOT have it ready to go by Tuesday. Try to bring the meds/form in to the health room by end of first week.

It is weight based. My average sized kid went from an epi junior to and epipen around fifth grade (I think).
The school should have both sizes on hand.
The Epi-pen and auviQ junior versions are for kids up to 30 kilos (66 pounds). My third grader just got switched to the regular version this year. At his check up he weighed in at 64 pounds so he was on the border so his allergist decided to switch to the adult version since he will soon be over 66 pounds.

Why are the stock epi pens not brought on field trips that go outside of school hours?
