Princeton is fine.

Ted Cruz went to Princeton, so sometimes jerky assholes slip through in the admissions process anywhere.

The Harvard man would say he's right because he goes to Harvard.

Princeton undergrad and Yale for graduate school. I would pick Yale for undergrad If I were going to college now. Both great, but I think Yale is more well rounded and the resiIdentical college system is fabulous. The PP who expressed concern about security has not been there for awhilE. New Haven has changed a lot since I was there and the surrounding areas are safe.

Now you just sound silly. Yale has a lot going for it, no doubt, but most would say that Princeton is a warmer and more undergraduate-oriented environment.

I went to both and, to me, Princeton seemed really suburban/country club/provincial by comparison.

We do love New Haven. The restaurants are great, the New Haven Hotel is very nice, and the campus is gorgeous! I went to Princeton, and I am very glad that DD decided to go to Yale. The atmosphere at Princeton is cold by comparison. Yes, I gush. Can't say enough about how wonderful Yale is.

Why is it that everyone touts Yale's residential college system as unique? Harvard has a residential college system as well. Is Yale's different?

I have very close friends who went to each of these. Would definitely pick Yale based on their experiences and mine visiting them while they were there.

Glad you like Yale, but saying "we really love New Haven" is pushing it, don't you think, even by the gushy boosterism standards of DCUM.

Of the three, I applied only to Princeton and ended up going there.

I had a good time but, when I visited friends at Yale, I thought it was on a different plane and wished I'd applied there instead. The residential colleges were nicer; the students were more intellectual and less pre-professional; and there was just more going on around the campus compared to Princeton, where so much seems to center around the eating clubs on Prospect. On the other hand, my friends did need to take more security precautions in and around New Haven than I ever worried about in Princeton.

I've visited Harvard as well and it didn't appeal to me the same way. It felt colder and people seemed more overtly arrogant.
