Lots of the smaller charters don't have a dedicated PE teacher. Instead, the teacher leads them in exercises. One of the reasons I love my DCPS instead.
LRPS: 20 min recess, immediately preceding their 1/2 hour lunch.

Wow that is depressing.
Honestly, this is one of the main reasons we kept my kid in her daycare instead of going to PK3--at daycare, they get two hour-long play periods--typically outdoors, but they have a playroom to use in inclement weather.

Public PK3 - 40-45 minutes daily, forget which.
PE twice a week, which I swear is scheduled for an hour both times, but I'm not at all convinced its not less than that.
They do appear to make an effort in scheduling to have all of the scheduled time - so it doesn't include transitions/extra transition time is built in. But honestly, I can't promise that's actually what's happening. Like our daycare was *supposed* to have 2 hours a day and between transitions and sunscreen and someone pooped and the teachers were just tired, I pretty sure they got half that.

This week in PE, my K kid at a charter played capture the flag and did relay races. Plus some other games, I think.
