We just had a report that a white van was in our neighborhood looking for military families. They went to the door and asked if they were military or if they knew of any.

Def call. I had an suv parked outside our house, then cruising down the cul de sac. Showed up a day later. Called non emergency police w make, model and license plate. Guy was wanted for hit and run, dui. He was trying to break into WiFi in the neighborhood.

Go ahead and call the non-emergency number. I attended our community meeting recently and the police said specifically that people living in the neighborhood knew what looked out of place, and they should always call to get things checked out.

Actually quite the opposite. White vans are everywhere! Almost every contractor, plumber, painter, delivery guy, handyman, etc... drives a white van. It's so easy to disregard them and just assume they are there to work on your neighbor's yard.
If it was really circling for a while and then sitting, then absolutely positively call.
