Problem with dropping Comcast is my email is .......@Comcast.net. I cannot lose that email address because of all my work connections.

For instance, comcast had all the old seasons of HBO and other shows. Fios only has the current season.

Oh my gosh I feel the same way and even called FIOS to complain about their on demand menu. It's absolutely horrible and takes forever to find shows. I dropped Comcast to go to them and so regret it. I'm in a two year contract but thinking of breaking it because I can't deal with the On Demand plus I realize FIOS is only cheaper because you get less channels. Once I switched to FIOS I realized I lost so many channels that I had with Comcast. Although FIOS gives me more HD channels. I personally like Comcast much more and they do get shows on On Demand much faster than FIOS too.

OP again. I have to say that the Comcast DVR has been great, as has the search mechanism, far better than the Fios one I had two years ago. I'm hoping it's improved since then. On top of this, I also have a major CareFirst issue to deal with. Sigh.

I've had FIOS for 2 years and have not been kicked off the internet once. This was an almost daily occurrence with Comcast, involving unplugging modem, router, shut down computer, etc.
The rate increase should be coming soon, but I'll worry about that when it happens.
FIOS service is far superior to Comcast.
