TODAY's U.S. News Aerospace/Aeronautucal/Astronautical rankings has moved up Virginia Tech to a ranking of #15 in the nation for undergrad AAA engineering.

Well the hard copy I am looking at has it at 17. Maybe you are looking at today's newest rankings. 16 is University of Washington; 17 in Virginia Tech and 18 is University of Minnesota Twin Cities.

This ^^ is correct. PP 18:14 you are posting GRADUATE school rankings. Undergrad is at 17 or higher.

This shows why VaTech grads may not be too smart. If the OOS make up 20% of the school for example and the school's overall acceptance rate is 20%, the "real" acceptance rate for OOS student is 4%? Never said I was a VA tech grad. At the undergrad ENGINEERING open house last spring, the statistics put up pm screens during the crammed presentations says 55% in state, 45% OOS - that may be for only the engineering department or the entire school. It didn't matter to me because DS wants only engineering and that is the toughest school to get into.

Why is it then regarded as some top tech school (some claiming it's better than UMD etc.) by people in VA?
