Actually, I think Apple sucks at this. I was not amused when my 5 year old suddenly started playing really misogynist rap on the iPad. I had turned all the parental controls on to maximum and had certainly not downloaded that. Turns out that when the iOS upgraded, Apple had automatically added radio, and would only block "explicit" lyrics. Then I found there was no way to remove the radio or even to restrict the channels. The best I could do was make all the "favorites" that showed up on the front page be classical stations--but Apple still had the "most popular" or trending search icons on top, and my son would just clip on the faces. I was irritated.
