I think OP means when there is no diaper. She's talking about when a child poos in the potty.

What is gross about putting it in the garbage? That is what it is for.

Move the diaper pail to the bathroom.

Another vote for TP. Their bottoms aren't as messy as they are with a poop diaper since it doesn't get mushed around anywhere but just falls into the toilet. We felt like once they were big enough to use the toilet, they are big enough to use toilet paper.

Yup.

I put the wipe in the dirty diaper, close the diaper and put it in the diaper champ. I don't flush anything but toilet paper.

+1, though haven't tried it for my own sanitary items.

I'm so confused. Didn't you use wipes and toss them when she was in a diaper? And wouldn't yoou switch to toilet paper at some point now?

Yes don't flush the wipes! Even if they don't clog your pipes (and they may eventually cause a clog), they cause problems in the public pipes and at the wastewater treatment plants.

I just put them in the trash. Just empty more frequently.

We are potty training our twins now and I've noticed they are much cleaner when they go on the potty, vs. diaper. So we don't need to use many wipes.

Those are not flushable and will cause huge plumbing issues.

Another TP user here! If it is extra messy, I sometimes use a wipe and fold it into itself and put it in the trashcan (a lidded trashcan) but it doesn't smell.

+1. How do you wipe your own ass?

I use toilet paper to get most of it off, then final clean-up with a wipe. I wrap it in a tissue and toss in the bathroom trash can. Never smells.
