I find I prefer Bourbon to Scotch.

Go ahead, judge me.

Lagavulin, Glenmorangie, Talisker, Laphroaig, or Balvenie are where it's at.

Confession: I prefer the Balvenie 10 year to the 12 and 15.

Personally I like single malt scotches with Macallan being my favorite. I think people who drink blends are clueless.

I judge people who are still sucked into the "single malt" craze from the 1990s to be poseurs and not very sophisticated Scotch drinkers. Spend some time in Scotland and you'll learn why blended as where it's at.

Nope. Taste in alcohol is not a proxy for anything. What we like is so personal.

I wqish I knew enough about scotch to judge, but for now I just stick with the single malts I know I like and keep my thoughts to myself.

I don't judge people based on their taste in scotch (unless JW red is their favorite). Not a blend drinker myself, but there are some good blends tombe had.

i do judge them in what they serve though, as previously mentioned, But I do judge them if they're a bourbon drinker vs scotch. I also judge restaurants/bars by their scotch selection.

No.

I judge them by the scotch they serve!

Nope, but I don't like scotch. I do like Irish whiskey. But I don't judge people by what brand of whiskey they drink, or even if it's Irish or American. Canadian though... that's suspect.
