OP, your husband is an ass. Mine is too. Just go upstairs and sleep and let him take care of the baby if she wakes up. DON'T come down and tend to it yourself. Make him do it.

Get a white noise machine.

Tell your husband he should consider headphones because the need for quiet while the baby sleeps is not going to go away anytime soon.
