I misinterpreted a compliment once - BF said I had a fat butt. Turned out it was something he thought was compliment. I didn't take it that way.

You would not believe the terrible things my husband says to me. I'm currently planning an exit strategy. He swears he loves me, but I just don't understand how someone could possibly say the things he says to me to someone that they love or respect. It's incomprehensible to me.
