12, 16, and 22. My 8 year old niece has "played" it (really, attempted to sit in on one game and got bored within about 5 minutes) as well, if an anecdotal reaction from a younger child is useful to you in any way.
The 12 year old wasn't particularly interested after the first round or two mostly because she didn't understand all the references and having someone explain them kind of took most of the fun out of the game for her.
The 16 year old and 22 year old both enjoy the game.
I don't necessarily think this is the best game for OP's listed age group, primarily because in my limited experience kids that age might not really enjoy it. However, to answer the question I see no problem with them playing it at any age and would be fine with explaining any questions it caused them to have.
