Before I click, should I assume this is a white person? Did you consider the other upstanding people who were recently killed before posting, or is this a racial thing?
Must be racial because EVERYTHING has a racial slant to it in your mind, no doubt.
In other words, he's white.
No, not everything has a racial slant. But in a city where 90% of the homicides are black, what are the odds that the ones we hear about on DCUM are all white? Extremely low, unless it actually has a racial slant to it. This is not my mind. This is a matter of mathematical probabilities.

I have posted a number of times about the homicides at the time of the death of that first former intern. No one knew who the victims were. But hey, if you want to start a conversation, what happened to Brian Sickles was tragic. Nice man, well loved in his neighborhood. I'm sure you are very familiar with his case.
Do you start a new thread every time there is a black homicide victim in DC? Not your copy and paste lists, but a new thread for every single one? No? Why not? You should talk about Brian Sickles..Just like people talked about Relisha Ridd, the Howard student, the reporter at the bus stop. A city where people can't send there kids to be intern, walk down the road to a party, stand at a bus stop, ride metro, or be in a kid in the care of adults is not a livable city for any of us, black or white, rich or poor.

Predators. I seriously hope for rehabilitation for them because what they got from the first 18-19 years of life from their own families, thuggy peers and nihilistic, misogynist music and role.models the message life is cheap and image and 'fronting' is everything.
I'm a millenial and one night I walked from dupont circle to stadium armory (this was in march) at 2-3am. I'm a small framed guy. It was a thursday night. I didn't feel like I was in danger.
Anonymous wrote:Because you are a millenial you don't remember when DC was Murder One and that wasn't the case. You don't remember when people were executed in Macolm X Pak and walking around Capitol Hill at night was the diciest of propositions. This crime trend is troubling. There are predators in DC for whom life is very cheap. And the police are on the defensive. the Mayor and Lanier need to come out with a strong statement of support for the police and a plan. Also, more cameras. Lets keep you and everyone else 'feeling' safe.

Perhaps you should call in the oathkeepers to protect DC from the PG County criminals. Who would have known that criminals actually commute to commit crimes. Considering the number middle-class households in PG, I guess it only makes sense that the PG County criminals commute into DC to victimize the white residents of DC.
