Can you feed them the raw meat diet? They sell frozen meat you just defrost and serve up.

Not a long-term solution, but there is a coupon for $5 off a bag of the prescription diet. I feel for you. My 12yr old cat needs prescription food as well, my vet takes the coupons. I have not been able to find anywhere to order it that is less expensive that my vet's office.

We love hills in our house.

Anonymous wrote:Our cat was just diagnosed with feline diabetes. We love him and want to take good care of him, but some of the expenses are busting our budget -- $300 for insulin and another $50 for syringes! (But obviously they are necessary expenses.) I just purchased the cat food the vet prescribed, which is about $35 for a 6 lb. bag. Is there any cat food on the market that is meant for diabetic cats, is non-prescription, and is maybe not quite so pricey?

I know you said $35 for 6 lbs. but could it be $55 for 15 pounds? As in spending less overall by buying it in a bigger bag? (After you know she likes it)
