If they wait for you, then the person scheduled behind you gets their appointment bumped
If you are the person whose appt. ended up being late, then you are on DCUM complaining about it
You cannot have it both ways
Are they waiting on you because you are seeing a patient or because you got stuck in traffic
If you are waiting on them, it's due to a medical issue with the person they are seeing before you
See the difference?

OK, it would bug me with a dietitian. I mean, how many emergencies could there be?
I don't mind with our pediatrician, since whenever my child is really sick, he gets see promptly. So when he is there for a well visit or less urgent visit, I get they may be running late because of emergencies.
