I am a professional technical writer and would never do this. You need a hobby, OP.

I'm suprised at the answers. OP is not correcting a friend. This is a business transaction email. As a small
Business owner you would be doing them a favor to send them an email with the corrections. You could say not sure if this is a standard email but in the one that I received there were X errors. I thought it would be hopeful to know. I would def want to know and thank them for taking the time!

It's not polite to correct others. I correct my kids because it's my responsibility to teach them.

If you're putting together a newsletter and you want to edit someone's work, you should ask them first.

People are funny about these things. I'm an editor, and often get asked by relatives and friends to look over things they're writing. You'd be surprised how many obvious grammar mistakes they will simply refuse to fix. I just laugh it off. I wouldn't dream of volunteering to correct anything or anyone.

wait…I used to run a moms group. A woman who volunteered to help me write articles for my newsletter and weekly emails was horrible with grammar. Once I corrected an article and she reviewed the edited version. She was NOT pleased. Sometimes you just have to.

I would, too. And I have acted as proofreader for several partners for emails they send out. It's a service that they asked for, and one I'm happy to do. If you're working for or with the small business, there may be a way to work in grammar errors, possibly during a advertising discussion. But not as a customer.

The only time you can politely correct what someone is saying is when they are mispronouncing your name. That's it.

I wouldn't correct their grammar, OP, but I don't see it as such a rude gesture. In fact, they might even appreciate it. using poor grammar could potentially hurt their business (probably wouldn't but could)
