Hi OP, take a shower, clean your clothes by hands and dry them in the sun (free).
Do that each day. You can wear the same clean clothes. No problem.

There is always demand for a concsientious, honest house cleaner.
Your brother is right to an extent.

Your county probably has mental health services you can access. They may help with your depression and you will be more capable of finding that job.

Do NOT do this. It's extremely dangerous, and people get run over. If you're homeless, you can risk it.

I agree. Take the shower. Even if you don't use soap or shampoo. You'll feel better just rinsing yourself off.

Not sure where you are, but there are places that can help. If you are in DC, go to the Friendship House tomorrow. You can get food, toiletries, and talk to a doctor. They can also connect you to people who can help with a job and living arrangements.

Please take a shower, OP. You'll feel better. Even if you don't use shampoo.

Worse comes to worse, you can get some shampoo from a homeless shelter. Or just walk into a hotel lobby and ask for a shampoo. As long as you don't look homeless at this point, it should probably work.

I wish I could give you a hug...but only after the shower. Take the shower. You will feel better. If it makes you feel better, back in the early 90's, I was homeless in the middle of winter in Upstate NY. I had $300 cash, no place to stay...and no job. (I was a graduate student crashing in depression). Oh, and I was 28 years old.

In my case, after I got past the crisis -- I was able to find work. You can too -- Retail, etc are always hiring, I started getting my life together.

Today, I am comfortable....make a six figure income, own a house in a nice neighborhood. It gets better.

I will admit this. . .when I was struggling I went into hotels when they were changing the rooms, and took soap and shampoo from the carts in the hallway. People here will say that is stealing, and they are right. But it did me more good than the guests who came home and threw it away.

Um, it's my only niece. My only brother, my only SIL, this will be the only grandchild in both families. This is kind of a big deal. It's not like I'm a Duggar and have 46 siblings and there's always a baby shower. This will be the third one I've ever attended in my life.

My skills are office work - like office assistant. Landlord is a building - the guy who owns the building hired a management company. I will check Amazon and Hilton for work from home jobs - thank you so much for the tip.

Ugh. It would be better if it was landlord managed.1st ask the management company if they are hiring. If they are not wait a few days and tell them the deal with Augusts' rent. in the meantime look for work. Target management companies. They give you a discount on rent. Check equity or paradigm. Your skills easily translate to Leasing Consultant.

Also, try gym front desks etc... And it's the holidays ( I know crazy but it is) this is the best time to apply for retail for holiday sales positions. You can have the managers direct attention. Everybody else waits until they realize they need money for Christmas.

The jobs btw are until you find something that is a good fit. If you don't like them don't worry I have more plans.
