I would recommend a Marshalls or a Ross store.

Also, if you have the time a good consignment or thrift shop would work too.

I have found some amazing things in thrift shops. However, it takes more time invested since you will have to go through some garbage to find the true treasures.

(Kind of like having to kiss a lot of frogs before finding your prince!)

I agree, although if you insist on doing this OP, I would suggest going to estate sales in the dc area, where you can find amazing stuff from other people's world travels instead of generic homegoods or TJMaxxx crap.
