To the OP - I thought it was only IMAX that was reserved seating at Tyson's. AMC Courthouse has it as well. AMC Potomac Mills does not except for IMAX.

and when someone is sitting in your ASSIGNED seats and refuses to move?
We had to take other seats b/c of that. I wasn't about to argue in a dark theater in front of my 11 yo.
This practice is ridiculous, IMO.

If they don't move you can call security.
This is the best thing ever, get used to it

Anonymous wrote:I love reserved seats. Ever since they opened the ArcLight theater in Montgomery Mall I actually like going to movies again. Buy tix online, pick seats, and then no need to print tickets at the theater at those broken-down fandango kiosks because they can just scan the barcode on your phone. Very civilized.
Anonymous wrote:Love it! My only complaint is that to reserve/buy online, our local theater charges an extra dollar or $1.50 per ticket, and I don't like paying that. If I'm out and about earlier in the day, I'll swing by the theater to pick up the tickets to avoid that (we live close to the theater). Small amount, I know, but I just hate paying fees.
Anonymous wrote:I actually love the reserved seating. I typically buy my tickets in advance, either on line, or in person (the theater is steps from the metro). If there aren't good seats I simply select another show time.
Courthouse is our neighborhood theater and we are actually bummed when the movie we want is only playing in Ballston which has traditional seating.
Exactly what is going on in theaters that you find so offensive that you have to move.
To me the most annoying thing was dealing with feet. People accidentally, repeatedly kicking your chair, or feet from behind peeking through the seats. None of this happens now b/c even when reclining your neighbors feet is very far from your seat.
