It kind of sucks as a repair because you pay about $200 for a 10 minute service to replace a part you can buy on amazon for under $50, but it is a lot less than a new compressor.
I like Shanahans in Springfield (703) 321-9622. They are highly rated in Consumer Checkbook and one of the few contractors that has ever talked me into doing lower cost repairs when I requested more expensive replacement work.
