It all depends.

In any successful relationship OP, there has to some mutual physical/sexual attraction from both sides. Some people will say that that attraction is not necessary, it is only icing on the cake, but I have to disagree. If that were the case, how could you separate a lover from a friend? You wouldn't be able to.

That being said, this person could grow on you as you continue dating. As you get to know more about him, he may begin to take on attractive traits that you find endearing.

But if over time you still are not fully attracted to him, then it is best to cut the cord before feelings run too deep. It may hurt, but in the long run it is the best way to spare any hurt feelings.

If this person is someone you are embarrassed, even slightly so to be seen in public with, then that is a huge red flag that things likely won't improve.

I rarely see two hot people together. There's usually someone average or below average with them. Being gorgeous doesn't appear to be a requirement for gorgeous people.

Yup. But never with someone overweight, so go figure that. I haven't tested how overweight would impact my attraction to my spouse because it's never come to pass. I, however, have grown overweight since our marriage both objectively (BMI) and subjectively (I just "look it"). I'm working on that... Slowly but surely.

The majority of people in the world, and especially in this area, are average looking. So I would say the answer is he's, that is now most people coupled up.

And for the record, DH and I are both exceptionally average looking but both have good personalities and traits. The more I fell in love with him, the more I was attracted to him, and it just keeps getting better as we spend more years together.

Yes, I don't even notice what a person looks like until I get to know them - aside from my own personal deal breakers - sorry in advance for adding these shallow things : morbidly obese ( a little overweight is okay) odd tattoos or piercings (too distracting) unkempt, poor personal hygiene, smoking, drugs, things like tat)

Personality, humor, character, intelligence rule!

Once I've fallen, I think they're the most attractive person in the world.
