In so sorry. My sister and her DH are huge dog lovers. They have a deal that when one does, they go out that weekend and find a new one (they always adopt). My sister says it's too soon, but it does help fill the void and helps them to focus on something else besides missing their babies.

Op I'm sorry for all the soulless, insensitive people that scolded you. This is such a huge loss and I am so sorry for your pain. I'm sure your baby dog gave you lots of love and wonderful memories. Maybe you can memorialize your pup in some way. Hugs to you.

That said, sympathies to you, op.


And it took everyone 2 seconds to figure out that Op was talking about her dog even before Jeff changed the title. I think it is lousy how some people took the opportunity to pile on to Op at a time like this. She just lost her beloved companion (yes, her "baby") that she had loved for over a decade. Have some empathy.

I don't think OP realizes that a lot of folks look at posts in the "Most Recent" frame, so this title seems very insensitive because you see the subject header first and (maybe) see the "board topic" later.


Then maybe people should look at the forum before they click on a recent topic, so it doesn't offend them.


It's not about being "offended," PP. it's being thrown into devastation and turmoil, before you can even catch that OP is talking about a dog. Insensitive and lacking in awareness in the extreme.

Hugs to you. Its so rough, I know. You gave him a good life and her loved you, he wouldn't want you to be sad and he'd want you to give a home to some other very lucky dog.
