I can call if I blew it, but not if I got it. Reason being that I may know I rocked the interview, but I have no idea if someone was equally awesome and more skilled.

Is it really "polite" to respond to a thank you letter from a candidate? I confess I never have.

when during the interview, the supervisor kept slipping and using the second person and then correcting himself to "the person in this position".

still, nothing is written in stone until an offer is made and accepted, so temper your enthusiasm!

Established a good rapport with the lead interviewer. The interview felt more like a conversation than an interview. Knew I had the job, and I did.

Teacher here. The AP said this would be your classroom. Pretty much solidified it

seems like a good sign to me - but I still wouldn't read too much into it - try to remain calm and stay the course!

C'mon, absolutely NO ONE has ever called it accurately leaving an interview?

In once left an interview knowing I'd done great, but figuring I wouldn't get the job because rumor had it several more experienced candidates were applying. I did get the job, and one of the panelists told me that I charmed the socks off the panel.

OP here. It was not an automated response, but one the lead interviewer actually wrote themselves. It did not recap the interview, but thanked me for the insights I'd shared during the interview, and said that I would hear from them very soon.
