all pets were pre kids

Great Dane = Saxon
tom cat = Sarsaparilla
small rescue cat = Sunday
Free neighborhood mutt #1 = Gavin
Free neighborhood mutt #2 = Henri

we are currently pet free but I loved all my animals while I had them.

Pedigreed British shorthair cat. Named after the same via Jane Austen. Yes, the cat resembles the character.

Fern.

No, I didn't name her. She's a rescue and I had a hard time coming up with another name for her plus she knew and responded to it. She got the name after being pulled from a high kill shelter and being put in a foster home.

She's either named after the plant or the the girl from Charlotte's Web. Charlotte's Web would be less random.

She is long gone, but lived to be nearly 25. All the dogs in the neighborhood were afraid of her. All the neighbors called her "the cat who sat on car hoods" because she was always on our car hoods.
