Yes, I'm a nurse and have seen it many times. Incredibly painful, I'm told. All ages too, but as others have said, mostly elderly.
Common places are on the trunk and head, and I've seen it in the eye more than once =(

My 33-year-old husband has it right now! And he had it previously when he was in his 20's, too.

My mom. My friend's brother had it years ago and is still in constant pain as a result.

I had it at 39 or 40. Worst pain ever. If all you need to do is get a shot to avoid that kind of pain, DO IT!

I've known 3 people. My uncle actually lost vision in one eye because of one of location of some of tHe pox.

I had it at age 32. It was no big deal. A little tingling plus rash. I'm guessing the symptoms are worse in older people?

My sister in her thirties, bil in his forties, mom and a neighbor in their eighties, etc. Quite common!

Yes, I know a few, including one who had shingles during her pregnancy!
