Another idea: if she doesn't have a library card, help her sign up for one. My kids felt very important when they got their own library cards. She could check out her first book and you could read it together.
The issue with that is that most libraries won't allow a nanny to get their charge a card unless the nanny has temporary or limited custody. It's supposed to be parents and guardians only due to the financial responsibility and the libraries' policies on not censoring books.
~Nanny that has limited custody, for this sort of thing, medical, school, etc.
