Subject: Books for 11 year old boy
My 11yo is currently reading through all the Halo novels (from the Xbox game series). He seems to like them quite a bit.

Hmmmm, I would try Robert Asprin's Myth series. Lots of double entendres and innuendos, but most will go over his head, and it's full of humor. Combination sci-fi/fantasy too, so it might open the door to fantasy.

It's older, but The Dark is Rising sequence is great. The first book is Over Sea, Under Stone. One of the main characters is an eleven-year-old boy.
