Agree. And OP, when it comes to matters related to education and school choice in DC most of the population is very conservative, despite what they say.

How would you know and what gives you the right to judge. Must we all be clones of your "values" to have our view points respected?Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:Republican charter family at HRCLIS. I'm pretty sure we're the only ones. Sorry. This area is not open-minded to non-liberal viewpoints IMO. There may be others, but we're all in the closet. I smile politely when when bold progressives unabashedly provide a left-leaning view and I don't respond. You'll be doing the same. We'll be moving to VA when the youngest finishes K.
Right, because your values are incompatible with the school and society we're living in.

Sure. Are you capable of talking to me about who I'm flying to Iowa to support in the caucuses without picking a political fight?
Not PP, but sure -- I would just smile politely and say how nice for you, that must be exciting.
I am the pp, and this is what I'd do as well. But I'm sure you would understand that, despite the fact that I may not disagree with your politics (I'm a left-leaning independent), you'd be marking yourself as an aggressive/hostile person. Polite people understand that politics can be highly contentious, and your opinions aren't something you drop into idle chitchat. When you deliberately try to stir things up, people will avoid you regardless of your politics.

Was it accidental?
And to be on point, I cannot think of a single Republican parent with a child at a PCS. But surely there are a handful, as you see on this thread so far.
I'm a republican who lived in Shaw for 10 years. But great stereotyping there.
But did you move from Shaw?
